- Location. The Chancery Pavilion is across the street from the historic Bangalore Club and one kilometer from the shops of Brigade Road. Lal Bagh, a noted botanical garden, and Cubbon Park are two kilometers from the hotel. Hotel Features. The Chancery Pavilion lobby greets visitors with its highly-polished stone floors and elegant sweeping staircase. The hotel opened in 2006 as a business class hotel, and offers several 24-hour services to accommodate business travelers, including check-in and check-out, the business center, room service and laundry services. The hotel has 20,000 square feet of function space. Recreational amenities include a spa, a health club, an outdoor pool, a sauna and a steam room. Dining options include Ithaca, which serves Mediterranean cuisine, and Indian Affair, which serves Indian cuisine from different parts of the country. The hotel also includes Amnesia, a poolside bar, and the Lobby Lounge. Guestrooms. The Chancery Pavilion offers 234 guestrooms on eight floors. Contemporary décor themes vary from stainless steel and glass to rosewood and earth tones. Amenities include complimentary wireless Internet access, DVD players, wall-mounted flat panel LCD TVs and direct-dial phones. Rooms also have coffee and tea makers, minibars, refrigerators and complimentary bottled water. Beds offer eight-inch mattresses and 300-thread-count cotton linens. Club Pavilion rooms include complimentary airport transfer, breakfast, and cocktails, tea and coffee in the Lobby Lounge. Expert Tip. A trip to Bangalore would be incomplete without a visit to the 240-acre botanical garden at Lal Bagh. The garden contains over 1,000 species of flora, expanses of lawn, flowerbeds, pools and fountains. The centerpiece of the garden is the Glass House, modeled after London's Crystal Palace. Admission is free from the hours of 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. and from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Admission is roughly 13 cents from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
