Expert Tip. Four kilometres from the hotel, the Père Lachaise Cemetery is the largest cemetery in Paris, and one of the most famous in the world. Established in 1804 by Napoleon Bonaparte, the cemetery contains over 33 000 residents, including Oscar Wilde, Édith Piaf, Jim Morrison, Marcel Proust, Maria Callas, Chopin, and Molière.
